HOW TO SURVIVE A PRE-WEDDING TRIP TO SIN CITY
OVERVIEW
3-DAY BACHELORETTE ITINERARY
They say, "What happens here, stays here…," but Vegas is sure to create memories that you'll carry with you for a lifetime. Thanks to its "anything goes" attitude, Vegas has become synonymous with milestone celebrations like birthdays, and even quickie weddings, and of course bachelor(ette) parties. About a year ago, I celebrated my own bachelorette here - and this is my exact itinerary!
For context, I didn't originally think of myself as the typical wild child bride that would choose Vegas, and this itinerary definitely reflects that. I'm not a big nightclub person. I didn’t want 24/7 debauchery; I wanted some balance, some time to actually hang out with my bridesmaids. In fact, I was originally picturing parking myself at a swim-up bar in Mexico or the Caribbean, but the remnants of COVID restrictions complicated things. I started looking at stateside options, and Vegas pleasantly surprised me that I could find a good balance in Sin City.
Keep reading to check out exactly what we did each day. Also know that we chose the Palazzo at the Venetian as our home base. The resort is fabulous for so many reasons, but for my bachelorette I was really swayed to stay here by two things. First, the rooms are a lot bigger than your typical Vegas room without having to pay for full-on suites (important when you're booking multiple rooms). We had oversized bathrooms and living rooms to get ready and spend time in the room before heading out and about. Second, the pool decks were recently redone, and they are incredible! Again, I'm not a huge club person, but I wanted the cabana experience, and the plunge pool cabanas here more than delivered! See day 2 below for more details. Eventually I'll write up a more detailed resort guide for the Venetian & the Palazzo, but for now just trust me that it's a great pick!

DAY 1:
CLASSIC VEGAS NIGHT OUT
Land in Vegas and hit the town running! Gather your group, and head to the Cosmopolitan for a dinner experience complete with performers at the "Italian-psychedelic" restaurant Superfrico and a shot-ski at the adjacent, but slightly hidden, Ski Lodge. Then venture down the Strip for a bachelorette must do, a sexy, energetic male revue show (click here for options). Cap off your night with a drink at the dazzling Chandelier Bar - grab a drink at each level if you're up for it.
Note: in the itinerary below, I also headed to TAO Beach during the day. I had an early flight and met up with some non-bridal-party friends who happened to be in town, but most of my group didn't arrive until late afternoon. If you are planning to arrive on Friday (vs. flying in Thursday night), plan to start with the evening activities on this itinerary.
DAY 2:
DAY AT THE POOL
Change gears from nightlife to daytime fun and book a cabana at one of the Strip's elaborate pools. To keep the party going, head to a day club. Or, for a little more balance & personal time, do what we did and snag a stunning plunge pool cabana at the Venetian. Build in some time to reset & grab dinner - we selected Casa Calavera, a fun, vibrant spot at the Virgin Hotel serving margaritas & Mexican cuisine with a Dia de los Muertos theme. If you were able to revive at the pool, you might be up for a night at a club. But, in the likely case you're slowing down, stick to a night of classic bachelorette games!
DAY 3:
RECOVER AT BRUNCH & HEAD HOME
Shake off your inevitable hangover with a final brunch - Bardot Brasserie, Lavo, or Bouchon are all great options. We ended up swapping our reservations around for something more low-key, but incredibly delicious, and headed to Chica (the hangover was very real). Depending on when your group is scheduled for departure, you might consider one final activity. Consider walking through the retired lights at the Neon Museum, posing for a photo in front of the iconic Vegas sign, or simply exploring the Strip - perhaps taking a gondola ride or exploring the conservatory gardens and fountains at the Bellagio.
